I used to play around with this and hypnotized a lot of folks at parties. It's real. If someone is susceptible to hypnosis they'll do it anywhere you can make them comfortable enough.

My son’s high school project graduation last night had a hypnotist
Is it for a high school in the projects? Or perhaps building a high school as a graduation project?

The one I saw was in college, and I don’t think any were plants.
The thing I noticed though was that he called 20-25 people on stage but he gradually dismissed about half of them.
I suspect these comedy hypnotists can tell who is susceptible within a minute, and they only keep the ones who are showing the most clear signs they are hypnotized.

Project graduation is an alternative to going out partying. They get locked in till morning. Games, activities lots of prizes etc. It's all chaperoned by parents

I did, but it was over in a snap.

I had the same thing at the lock in after high school graduation. And yes, it was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my life.
One guy was stealing people’s shoes and stuffing them in his shirt. Hypnotist snapped him out once he had a dozen or so in there. The “WTF” look on his face was amazing

I participated mostly to embarrass my girlfriend, but also because I was acting a lot and I always wanted to be on stage. I was fully aware of my actions and the hypnotist had to know, as he kept using me and a hot redhead for most of the night. Fast forward 22 years, the daughter me and that hot redhead had just made me a grandpa.

Yeah the guy had me jack off 12 dudes!

I saw Flip Orley years ago in Lafayette. It wasn't a bad show, but I don't think any of it is legit.

I saw one at a school assembly 40-50 yrs ago. Was really amazing. The triggers he used were amazing. He would say a key word or some other signal that would trigger an involuntary response after he woke them up.

Apparently hypnosis doesn't really work on me.
The first thing he did was line them up in front, and go to each one of them and ask them to look up with just their eyes, not their head.
He said the students who rolled their eyes farthest back into their heads were the ones most open to the power of suggestion. The ones who didn't go that far were more guarded and skeptical, so he eliminated them from the group.
I thought that was an interesting way of determining who might be susceptible to hypnosis.

Media and politicians are trained in this...
Just think about how often they would use a phrase like "Let me be Clear" or something similar.

Took my daughters to see Chris Angel in Vegas several years ago. Not a hypnotist but he's pretty impressive.

The seniors go to the HS after graduation and get "locked in" for the night. It's from 11pm - 5am and is hosted by the parents.
They have casino tables, a DJ, caricatures artists, mechanical bulls, bungee trampolines, sumo suit wrestling, pool tables, foosball, air hockey, a magician walking around, hypnotists, carnival food...stuff like that. They also have raffles where the kids can win iPads, iPhones, big arse TV's, mini fridges for college, various gift cards, electronics, etc. My son won a body pillow LOL.
Obviously some schools will have bigger budgets than others but that's the gist of it. It's a way to help prevent kids from having graduation house parties and getting smashed, drunk driving, etc.

Lots of them on YouTube.

If people actually had the ability to seemingly take over someone’s mind, it would seem like we would have a lot of billionaire hypnotists running around.
I'm honestly scratching my head at the number of posters in this thread that believe this nonsense.

Baw, that was a pool party at Owlfan's house. Oweo was the fluffer. I only know this because Mr. Clean mentioned it in a lunch thread.
