I have never done any drug that wasn't prescribed to me or could be bought over the counter.
Alcohol is a different story, but I haven't partaken of spirits in years.

No alcohol (unless you count Nyquil for medicinal purposes)

And, not really crazy about prescription drugs when I have a legitimate issue like surgery or extensive dental work. Doc prescribes 14, I end up taking 2 or 3.

I've consumed alcohol but I've never, ever done any drugs other than whatever my doctor has prescribed me over the course of my entire life.

Alcohol (gallons & gallons of beer. Only occasional hard liquor or wine)
Marijuana (smoked regularly, often daily for 10 years)
Acid (maybe a dozen times)
Mushrooms (maybe 6 times)
Ecstasy (maybe 6 times)
Various pharmaceuticals (maybe a dozen times if you combined all the Valium, Xanax, Flexeril etc. together)
Always stayed away from drugs I saw other people having trouble putting down.

Meh - not sure if I've ever been prescribed benzos (doubt it), but I've had plenty of prescription opioids, including Morphine. Don't care for any of that - the hollow head, faint nausea, "detached from reality" feeling. Also, I've been prescribed Elavil for pain. Really didn't care for it. So, I don't think what you're saying applies to "everyone" - with all due respect.
I have little doubt I would be a stimulant fiend, though. I love caffeine.
