I did, but that's because I also used it for internet connection. Otherwise, sharing the landline for internet would kick one of the computers off if someone logged on from the other.

We did. It was pretty cool but............... think 1980s when caller ID didn't exist for most people and star 69 cost money to press.
We got TONS of obscene and prank calls from people randomly looking for teenager telephone numbers.

At one point we had 4 lines in the house. Main line, sister had one with just a jack in her room. I had one later like that. Then we had one for the dial up.

Yep had one friend who’s dad had $ there were 4 kids so they had953 8259 and parents was 8250

A couple of us had our own phone lines. Wouldn't call us rich(grew up in Shenandoah). Then I would tie up both lines when we would play Doom online.

I’ll never forget the day father picked me up from school in his Rolls Royce (a special occasion given he and mother usually just had Clarence scoop me up in the Towncar) and brought me home to this..

My brothers wanted it but I was I was the only one of us that got it...I might mention that I’m the baby of 4, I think my parents were just worn down.

I didn't until I a junior or senior in HS.. And the only reason was because we got dialup and it was hard to use with all the phone calls kicking you off and not being able to log in because someone was on the phone.
