I think my mixed race children would say they have it harder. But I don’t know for sure because I’ve never met them.

Go in to 70805 and get back to me. I grew up in the ghetto of Baton Rouge, delivering food to people who didn't GAF about themselves or their community.

It’s a poker game. The black kid is dealt 3 8 off suit and the white kid has a pair of 10s. Black kid can still win but he’s got to be a better player, he’s got to have more luck, more breaks Have to go his way

The oppressed incels of the OT/poli board would say the white kid but in reality the black kid.

The white kid has it far worse today. That kid gets shite on by most other whites and has to earn everything the old fashioned way. If the poor black kid can make mediocre grades and stay out of trouble he's got plenty of help waiting on him. Just the way it is.

Honestly it is pretty fricking hard for both of them. Really depends on who has the more involved parents though. Being poor is the worst thing for anyone doesn't matter the color of their skin they're already playing behind the 8-ball so to speak

This is where common sense and a good work ethic pays off

OT answer: The white kid. The black kids have those extra muscles for sports.
More serious answer: if you've been married you know that you cannot judge the way your wife is feeling, and they are entitled to their own perspective.
Same with this scenario you can never know how hard it is for certain individual, because you cannot get inside their head and know how something affects them. Also It's really inefficient to ask this question in a large swath of the population. It's one of our society biggest creation of problems is to create these groups, and polarization, the oppressed versus the oppressor. We should focus more on individual sucess.

Do you even affirmative action, bruh? The laws on the books are too numerous to count.
So you don’t know the specific ones either? Or don’t understand the term specific?

The black kid will be much more likely to live in a single parent home than the white kid. This alone is a massive disadvantage and the primary cause of income and incarceration disparities between the races.
Thomas Sowell wrote about this extensively. Whites and blacks raised in 2 parent homes have about the same economic outlook and likelihood of going to prison.
The difference is that 28% of white kids are raised in single parent homes vs about 72% of black kids.
My life would have been completely different without my dad there threatening to kick my arse as a teenager. To pops

I teach at an underprivileged high school with poor blacks, whites and Hispanics. I feel like I have a have a pretty good view of the situation in question.

I think it has to do a lot with IQ, but that still has to be directed.

I think it depends on the quality of the family around the kid.
Color doesn't matter as much as a family that steps in and fills moral, ethical and academic gaps.

Probably, but is has nothing to do with race but rather culture. Poor black kids are much more likely to not have a father figure and get involved in criminal activities at a young age than a poor white kid.

It’s surely not a question of opportunity anymore.More likely a poor upbringing rather than a financial issue. Are there not programs in place for the advancement of AAs in higher education as well as the workplace?
