1. Yes.
2. Sometimes. I tend to criticize the culture and lack of personal responsibility when she blames it on systemic issues or whatever she’s reading on Twitter at the time.
3. We both respect that each other is coming from a good place and don’t let it cause a fight. If it does turn into a fight, she usually realizes it’s a dumb thing to be mad about things that don’t really affect us much and gets over it quickly.

My sister and I grew up with a black Mammy, Flora, who would come in the mornings and take care of the house; iron, clean wash clothes, hang them on the clothes line, etc. Sometimes she would bring her son Pumpkin, and he and I would jump and wrestle on my trampoline. I remember Pumpkin was one tough dude. Flora was a mother figure who took good care of us. God bless you Flora!

3. She isn’t from America so it was more of a discussion than an issue. We both agreed it was too divisive of a topic to talk about and not worth our energy since it really didn’t affect either of us directly.
