Who has a sibling that refuses to acknowledge your existence?

Until today it had been three years since I last spoke to my brother.
Saturday, I initiated contact to tell him about my engagement and asked if he would be a part of my wedding. Among other things, he replies back today that I have been "living in adultery with no desire to be reconciled. No."
I reckon I have misread the definition of adultery? It aggravates me to high hell that he thinks only of himself and has no desire to be there with our family. I can't imagine the pain this creates for our mother.

Your brother sounds like a religious nutjob.
My siblings are definitely not that.

Well, you tried. Now you can move on with your life.

Sounds like you didn't like being called out.

Lol. What a bitch.
I wouldn’t give 2 shits if a family member like that showed up or not. I’d prefer they didn’t, honestly.

It sounds like maybe you should be thankful he doesn’t talk to you often.

Why would he say this?

Well the OP Didn't deny the adultery.

I think he has a more liberal definition of adultery.

I haven't spoken to my oldest sister since 2005. She's either in a jail in dallas or whoring in Mexico. I still get calls from debt collectors bc she used my number on every application for about 3 years.
