I'm good about water as I drink 12oz between each beer and I usually eat during it as well, usually something with bread. Then before I lay down I pop a few Tylenol with a big glass of water.

If your gonna puke. Do it the night of. Then some rally beers. I’ve been down this road so many times. Force yourself to eat a good breakfast. Smoke a bowl. By noon crack a beer. Even if that’s the only one you plan on drinking.

I drink two servings of alcohol (or less) per day now.

I rarely have them now. No more than ~3.5 drinks in a day or 10 (ok sometimes 12) in a week.
I thought not being able to trust a fart was a part of hitting mid 30s. Turns out it was a part of ~25 drinks a week...

But, back in the day there was a point on the downside of a really bad hangover where I sometimes felt that I was on the edge of understanding the mysteries of the universe. Never quite got there, of course.

On a day I drink my goal is no more than 2.5 (aka wife and I splitting a bottle of wine). Worse case is 3.5 if we are eating out and I have a whiskey drink or margarita on the rocks before the wine. 3 to 4 days a week I have zero drinks.

I personally never get hung over from drinking in a single night at least since being a senior in high school. However, I often get the two day hangover. Guessing God wants me to beg for mercy from Friday and Saturday nights by going to church, but that's just not happening.

I'm done with getting so fricked up that I'm completely destroyed the next day. But after a typical night of drinking I always notice that sex the next morning feels particularly great. I've tried to figure out why, maybe something to do with going from slightly numb to nerve sensations being heightened like some kind of overcorrection. I don't know why it works like that but it definitely does.
Also Mexican food. Not at the same time though. Unless she's into that.

One of the biggest drunks I know never gets hangovers. He had one about three years ago and said that was the first one he's ever had. He's 45 and drinks hard.
Some people are just lucky. Or unlucky depending on how you look at it.
