He even sent out a form letter for his employees to carry stating they are listed as essential employees in case they get stopped by the long arm of the law.
A friend of mine in New Orleans also received one of these. Do people really think that LE is going to ask people where they are going, and request proof of that? There are so many things on the list of "okay" activities, including just going for a walk, that it would make zero sense for them to do that.

Exact same here. I'm working from home but she's at the office still b/c "closing and title companies are essential"

We're both grateful she's still working though.

I am. My wife is working from home but I'm still going in to work. There's been talk of telecommuting but I don't see how it's possible with the work we do and type of documents we handle.

But the only place I come in close proximity to others is elevator or stairs.

I am.

We have a work from home plan in place should it come to that, but there won't be much we can do at home. Since work has slowed down, we have cut hours to work four days for the time being.

My husband is still working too. We own a gym. Praying we get to stay open. We are smaller and can keep it clean and limit the amount of people in at a time.

FYI - we live in Alabama.

We got these from our corporate office as well, and I thought the same thing.

Exactly my stance. It is overkill on the side of precaution by the company owner to issue those form letters.

Hell, I have to get out to head to the store in a bit and I seriously doubt NOPD has me, or anyone else on their radar, especially during the day.

Now, late at night or in the wee hours of the morning, it just may happen where you can get stopped and asked what you're doing out, but that would be the job of the "Barney Fife's" of the police force.

Still going in, which I'm fine with. Yesterday I probably dealt with 3 people face to face.
