What a shitty year this has been. Good friend of mine died from a brain aneurysm. The freaking flood, and now Mike.

ETA Let's not forget the election and Hellary

Sorry about your shitty year, but my 2016 has been pretty solid.

With ya. Lost an uncle in July, parents for 11 feet of water in August, and just lost another uncle to a freak accident Saturday. I am not one to wish life goes faster, but a calendar change will be well received.

Sorry to hear that. My parents and brother both lost their homes in the flood as well, but thankfully no deaths. I just don't remember ever having so many things going wrong in one year, but it can always get worse

I feel for you man.

2016 shaped up to be one of my best years yet and it looks like the best of the year is still to come.

Don't wish my time/life away like that. You shouldn't either. Enjoy fb season and the holidays more than any other time of the year. Find something to make your time more enjoyable.

2016 has been pretty terrible so far but I don't want to say something and jinx myself.

January 1, 2017 is an arbitrary date on the calendar with no means put an end to your perceived troubles, let alone a vessel to jumpstart good fortune. other people may be having an exceptional year while your experience is entirely and unconditionally trivial to anyone else's.

those bother me.

I realize it can happen to anyone anytime, including to me or the kids or wife.

I saw one in the newspaper years ago where a truck hauling huge boulders tipped over because the driver was speeding on a curve. a boulder went over the overpass and fell on a woman in a car. dead in an instant. no warning.

2016 has been a bad year for me too, but it's also been a year for great personal growth. My parents' house was flooded, and it destroyed both their cars. After getting back from helping them out, some people stole my vehicle and trashed it. That being said, going through that helped me realize I couldn't put off dealing with my anxiety issue any longer, so I made an appointment with a therapist. Fast forward 5 weeks later, and I'm already so much happier with life.

I'm ready. This year has been wild for me.

Got engaged, getting married in December, bought a house, was in bad wreck that broke my femur and had a pretty bad head injury, rehabbed from all of that, had a great crop but I'm ready to finish it. Just ready for a break, and won't have one until after Christmas. It's been a roller coaster.

I am.

Sadly, I was ready for 2015 to be over at this time last year. Cheers to 2017 being better for all of us.

I've had better years than 16.

Girlfriend got breast cancer and I had to pay two mortgages half the year.

Now she's done with chemo, getting married in 17 and I only have one house!
