For the life of me, I don’t understand the pushback on wearing a mask. I get people needing and wanting to go on with their lives to the best of their abilities, but the mask rage is just ridiculous to me.

Seriously?

You think it does any good? Most people don't wear them correctly to begin with. For the life of me, I don't understand compromised people who go out in public.

I feel like the rest of 2020 is going to be pulling teeth to get every business completely back to normal because there is still a sizable portion of the population not happy about having to return to work.

Personally, I do think it helps. I’m no scientist, though, and I know that many of them differ when it comes to effectiveness of masks in stopping the spread.

If it helps, wonderful. If it doesn’t, what have you lost?

If I am a carrier, the mask is helping keep my mess out of the air

I don't know everyone's motivation, but I'm sure some have to get out to go to a doctor or to the pharmacy or to tend to other needs

Mask rage and no mask crying are equally idiotic

Yes I love seeing all the sky screamers melt. I hope they all suffer cardiac arrest from fretting over what everyone else does.

If you were to build a sanctimonious leftist holding several worthless degrees from an expensive and well respected college, the model would be my BIL. He lives at home, doesn’t work, and is full blown TDS and believes anything and everything CNN or MSNBC says.

He told us today we weren’t allowed at his parents house if we weren’t going to take the health of this family seriously

Rougie, the mortality rate is ridiculously low, even lower considering the people who may have had it and don't even know. The impact this has had on sociecty is truly fricked up. Like, seriously. Companies filing for bankpupcy, people unemployed. For a disease that isn't really that deadly?

I don't understand the push for wearing one. I only wear it a places that tell me I absolutely have to. Except for my employer who says all employees must...their business relies on me...and they haven't said shite to me about it...enjoy your Corona burgers.

We took my MIL shopping for a new dining room set today. Was gone just over 12 hours, visited a total of seven furniture stores between Hoover and Fort Payne. Had lunch at IHOP in Hoover and dinner at Top of the River in Gadsden. Never once put on gloves or a mask. Felt great to get out and live life.

I've heard both.

I appreciate you proving my point. A simple discussion on masks/no masks is immediately converted to a indictment on socioeconomic impacts. I am in no place to discuss the policies and the data for those decisions at that time.

I don’t get it either. Bunch of slackjaws moonlighting as experts in infectious disease. The world is fricked. Nobody trusts any authorities and people get their news from infotainment.

I get it if you’re out walking outside away from dense crowds and not wearing one, but when you enter a building, it seems like the most logical thing to do to try to avoid spread.

Friend,

I gladly wear a mask in public now. It’s not for me. The last thing I want any part in is making someone’s parent or grandparent or friend with immunodeficiency get this disease. If wearing a mask helps in that end, good.

Yours,
