I'm at the point with him that I don't want to hear his voice.
Not enough for me. I turned the TV off.

Someone willing to watch a person on television they hate with the volume muted is textbook stupidity.

It actually would have been a great speech if it was the first incident and his 1st chance at addressing the issue. Instead he coulda just said "What's up kettle, my name's pot". "Leave the inflammatory rhetoric behind"? Seriously mr president?

I quit watching that type of stuff during the Bush Jr. Administration. Rarely turn on fox or cnn. Never watch president speeches. I'll read the highlights later.

same...I have no need for political rhetoric.

I blame Obama for all of this. He's been pitting black against white, rich against poor for the past 8 years. And this is what he reaps. A divisive, race baiting sob!

I am, and I am willing to bet your television wasn't muted. You just wanted to sound edgy didn't you.

Everybody come check this guy out, he mutes The President on his television. What a rebel.

sorry, but it was muted...i started doing that with Clinton, and really got to the point with GWB and his reluctance to get rid of Rumsfeld..

So you watch him on mute? Why not just change the channel?

I listen because it's important to know what the other side is saying.

It was on, but I wasn't listening.

The only thing I want to hear out of his mouth is "bye-bye".

At no point did he say anything worth getting upset over. He talked about uniting the country, was extremely upset over what happened, etc.. If whoever you support would have said what Obama said, you would be all for it.

There is not reason for Obama not to come out and tell these communities to stop acting like psychotic animals.

All facts show that violent interactions with police aren't bias toward any one race and the chances of you being in a violent altercation with police are slim to none if you act politely and aren't a habitual offender.

He should be a strong voice. He's a fricking black man serving as President of the United States of America. Is there any better example to show these communities that poverty, government teat, and squalor is not a permanent life choice or an inevitability.

Instead of coming out as a strong leader and telling the youth that identify with him the cold hard truths of the world he continues to spout nonsense about inequality and give credibility to the BLM movement by saying we as a country should be sensitive and angry about the treatment of certain communities.

He consistently undercuts things in his speeches with pandering nonsense phrases that smash his credibility

frick him. Not only is he a pathetic excuse for a president and leader he is also an absolute waste of a human being.

The young African American community is in desperate need of a public role model and all they get are Sharpton, Jackson, and Obama.

Spot on Bressus. I said as much in the other thread. He has seriously failed in his leadership on this issue. He is too spineless to stand up and tell black America what is up. He is too indebted to the Sharptons and Jacksons to lead on this issue. He pandered to his base for his political debt and its backfired horribly.
