Better tell the stock market, baw. I don't think they had the benefit of your economics expertise this past week.

The stock market is not an economic health index.

Market is pricing in a May 1st opening. Extended it at least a month as some are calling for and see below 20000 Dow and 15% of us businesses failing. Greatest economic decline since the great depression.

The choice is the economy or lives.

Not yet, but if we shut down until a vaccine or china virus zeros out, they will be along with your kids.

This is the thread where we try to prevent grown men from agreeing to have something happen.

You’re a prime example of what I was talking about with people being taught what to think instead of how to think. You’ve been conditioned to think the stock market is the economy. You have been conditioned think the stock market going up means good economy and stock market going down means bad economy.

Send them little bastards to the soup kitchen. Teach them a lesson about life.

There is definitely a group in here that are being conditioned to think a certain way, but believe me I'm not in it.

But I'm sure you know more than the professional investors.

Darth, why do you always overreact?

I would hate to see if something a lot more threatening than COVID19 put people at risk and everything had to be shut down (grocery stores, no take out available, etc). Some of you people would really freak the frick out.

Sometimes things happen in life that we don't like. You just have to adapt.

Again, you’re mistaking the stock market for the economy. Remember, before the last few week the largest daily percentage gain record in the stock market was set in the early 1930s, 1933 to be exact.

Tell me, do you know what the economy was like in 1933?

Darth being labeled as “non-essential” has made you emotional.

My God man, learn to control yourself.

Kids got it way too easy these days. Need to trim the fat. They’ve never experienced hardship and will turn out like the millennials. This is the one chance we have to save them. Kids who went through the Great Depression did great things.
