It’s funny to me that people are defensive when other people are in different situations then themselves. They sorta remind me of liberals who want to impose their belief systems on everyone else who isn’t like them.

How am I wrong? My situation is different from yours. If you feel the need to spend less at the pump to save a few bucks, thats you. There is nothing wrong with that.
My situation allows me the ability to not have to do that. How does that make me wrong? Its just different than you.

They can’t handle the fact that people have different situations than them
I bet they all have the gas buddy app on their phone to allow them to drive across town to save .20/gal

The only difference between us is I have a grasp of simple economics and I don't have to work 800 hours of overtime to pay DSDL house.

How about you leave the thinking to people with a 3 digit IQ. There’s no way you built a business. You’re at best an incompetent government worker, and at worst mooching off of your parents or father in law.

Hahaha I get it gas prices go up and you have to start counting pennies..
Meanwhile I just pay whatever it costs and go about on my merry way.
Also: the ole OT, Spec House stereotype isn’t accurate either.
I hate OT and I live in the country on some land.
HOA’s tend to frown upon livestock
At this point I’m gonna try and keep this going to break the ATPB thread record

Again, it's not about what i can/can't afford. I could afford to pay $5/gallon for gas, but I would seriously consider taking the train in to work because it would be $80 a month instead of $300-400 a month.
Now let's extrapolate that to a family that has a tight budget as is and your talking serious behavior modification.
And we're not even going to get into the other commodity markets before you get out of the 099 class.

Dude the melt is amazing
Everyone’s financial situation is different, we all know that.
Which is why I asked the question In the thread title
“Who actually cares how much a gallon of gas cost”
Meaning it’s like a poll

Irrelevant.

How is that irrelevant? When someone asks you can you afford a 100’ Yacht. You have to look at your personal finances to see if it’s possible.
Some people can/can’t. That’s why the question in the thread title was asked
“Who actually cares how much a gallon of gas cost?”

Neither do I and I'm off 6 months a year.
Again, simple economics is not the driver of how an individual person has to spend their money. Ive already said, I understand how some people would change their habits. Luckily , Im just not one that has to. Thats what yall were arguing earlier. Personal spending habits according to the price of gas.

Interesting theory you have there

As you and your buddy are showing, this is apparently not true.

Dude you are at best using anecdotal evidence to prove a point. You said it yourself, everyone's situation is different, so how is it so hard for you to understand that the average American (55k household per year) is going to have a rough fricking time?
Dude, I make six figs having scripts do most of the work while I build shite in my lab. I can survive 5 dollars per gallon just fine, but the worker in the restaurant downstairs might be hurting a bit.
Where did you forget where you came from? Or did you ever have to struggle in your life?

Or Plant baws.
Just remember if/when the shite hits rock bottom tOT will be relentless with the "Turn your truck nuts in here" threads.
