That shite was real, people need to see it. It's a reminder that we can't do that again. What's the saying about history? Yeah, that one.

There is so much irony here.

First, they continue to vote for the political party that promoted all of that.

Second, that same political party is promoting segregation again today.

Wonder how they are going to approach teaching that to the kids.

It is OK. I already know the answer.

You should see how many people in the poli board said they would not vote for Obama because he was black.

I love how you make shite up out of thin air. This is called projection. There are plenty of blacks that poli board members vote for. Hell, they were singing Kip Holden's praise just recently.

You are aware that the mayor whose dick she sucked to her into politics called her that, right?

It’s a history lesson. I think it’s effective.

I've finally come to this conclusion. If black communities can't get their shite together in this day and age. A day and age where the playing field is so unapologetically tilted in their favor. They never will.

Everyone else is (allegedly) holding them down.

I asked a black friend once why African Americans claim whites, the government, etc are holding them back but it doesn't really seem to apply to any other minority group, including African immigrants.

He just said I wouldn't understand.

It’s very effective. It’s pretty brilliant actually. I show pictures like that.

However, many younger teachers than I would never use the words “colored”, “negro”, or “slave”. Even in the context of a history class. I don’t doubt someone got upset on behalf of those poor students.

The company I used to work for was based out of Minnesota, which is basically the New York of the northern states. The look on their faces when I told them about black and white Catholic churches, many of which are still in use today, was priceless.

We still determine identical locations around here like that. For example in Indianola there are 3 double quick gas stations. The white one (north of 82 and had a baskin Robbins) the black one (south of 82 and has a churchs chicken) and the ghetto one (actually the n word is used over ghetto most of the time). This is the one downtown by the tracks that you’ll probably get robbed at

Were doors in the old days covered with crepe paper with a bulletin board border?

I learned something today.

That’s what’s getting us into this mess. Trying to erase history only causes it to be repeated.

Nobody is trying to erase history. but at some point the grievance culture has to end in order for us to move forward…together.

Everyone knows the answer to this. Most have zero desire to make anything of themselves. Every other demographic it’s the opposite.

But in their defense they’re born into an extremely toxic environment, so a lot are doomed from the start. Liberal politicians use them and black leaders misguide them.

This would likely make white people more uncomfortable than minorities. It’s another chance to remind whitey how guilty he is and replenishes the victim fuel tank.

“Spark conversation”

Does anyone even believe this anymore? It’s about perpetuating white guilt, not starting a conversation, because it’s all anyone’s talked about for the last 15 years.

Modern day Americans aren't deep enough thinkers to understand symbolism and meaning or grasp the concept of a learning experiment. I mean, look at fareplay.

This “learning experiment” was more appropriate for the 80s.

A modern day experiment that could be interesting is passing grades out and subtracting 10 points from every white and Asian kid in the class and grading black people on a curve, to symbolize the decades of affirmative action privileges black America has enjoyed.

Someone had a meaningless phrase thread yesterday. I’d like to add this one to the list.

I’d be willing to bet the ones that felt the most uncomfortable were not minorities.
