Been wearing Stafford from JC Penney for years. They last for several years. There's s 100 pct cotton and a thinner 50/50 (I think?) I use both.

I don't dry any of my shirts, air dry them. Keeps shirts lasting longer. Also the BCG white shirts from Academy are pretty solid.

Lands' End makes a good quality undershirt. Switched to them about a year ago.

Cold water wash or like pre guy said bigger size hot water shrink.

Then it's onto keeping your anti-bacon collar game strong

Jockey is the only answer. I have tried all the brands listed here. Superior comfort.

I really like the polo t shirts , around $40 for a pack of three , I find they shrink a little but not like Hanes or ftl ....

I may give Stafford a try after reading this thread though .....

Me too. Have tried a ton of different brands, these are near the top.

I washed them on the cold water cycle, didn't seem to shrink too much

Apt9 from Kohls. Best undershirts I've ever bought. $7 a peice but they last forever and do not shrink or deform at the neck. Vneck and crew

Even preshrunk t-shirts will shrink some, just not as much. Stafford from JCP are good quality. I also like BCG from Academy and FoTL tall sizes. Tall size tees will not pull out of your pants like regular size does.

Cheap Hane's V-neck t-shirts. It's about the only thing I go to the dollar store for. They're really cheap there. I think it's like $8 for a 3 pack. I've bought more expensive shirts, but like you said, they all shrink and get shitty, so I just start off that way. I'm lucky that I'm right in between a medium and a large, so I can buy a large, and get away with wearing it until it shrinks a bit and actually fits better.

I have to wear an under shirt. I sweat too easily.

Most T-Shirts use cotton in some form or fashion. It will shrink no matter what. The key is evidently washing in cold water and limiting the shrink as much as possible.

I have tried Stafford-they're good.
I have tried Jockey-they're good but Stafford lasts longer.
I have tried Brooks Brothers-High quality but shrink and their sizing is off.
I have tried Under Armour-they are the absolute best out of any of them.

1.) Under Armour - Cool Tech (Careful on the loose fit version because it may show if you wear them with polos. They have a tighter form fitting version of the Cool Tech as well. Just FYI)
2.) Stafford
3.) Jockey

4.) Anything else

I buy Hanes tagless V-necks. I end up tossing them after a few years because of the neck, not the fit. They don't shrink that much. I usually just wash on cold and dry on medium or low. We hardly ever dry anything on high at our house unless it happens to be a load with only towels/sheets in it. But with kids clothes and my wife's clothes, there's usually something in there and she just dries on low.

The new X-Temp or whatever it is called is pretty nice.

I also have some black undershirts from Target. Their Merona brand, and they haven't shrunk much. At least not enough to tell. And I like them a little tight. Not clinging to you tight, but not baggy at the bottom either.

Stafford seems to have kept up the longest.
