I've never understood why cultural appropriation is a bad thing. I view cultural appropriation as an amazing way to reduce racism because you are essentially highlighting things that you like about another person's culture.

You know what? I watched the Whitesplaining vid and realized that:
A) I did in fact need to be told what Whitesplaining was, and
B) the only people who do that are whiny liberal douchbags with white guilt.
No wonder I didn't know what it was, and frankly, I'm glad it's a non-issue for me. I can go back to my blissful ignorance where I just treat everybody the same and don't have to watch my tongue.
