My feelings on the issue are basically conservative: heterosexual nuclear families who emphasize character and discipline and promote education will produce solid individuals at a much higher percentage than the other way around

While I agree that 2 parents are ideal, I don't think heterosexual couples are neither better nor worse than homosexual couples.

My best friend was raised by lesbians and he's the most well adjusted person I know. I also grew up with a girl who was raised by two dads. She just got married to a detective in Dallas PD. That was by far the nicest wedding I've ever been to. The gays planned and payed for it obviously.

But back to topic.. I've known one black kid and a few Asian ones who were raised by white parents. Even though the black kid and one of the Asians were raised by salt of the earth good people, they both eventually proved racial stereotypes true and ended up in prison. One for aggravated burglary and one for selling designer drugs.

i'm fairly against gay marriage (mainly the SCOTUS overruling the will of the people in a state) but i agree with this. if 2 people want to raise a kid nobody wants and change a life forever, WGAF what their orientation is?

Why does it matter as long as a kid is getting a chance to have a family then spend their lives in foster care

it shouldn't . . . the question was does anybody have any first-hand experience with it.

I have a liberal cousin who adopted two children from Liberia. She's always posting things about BLM and instructions to the parents of their white friends about how to treat them. She has a white biological son that she pays little attention to and rarely mentions unless he's getting in trouble. He obviously acts out to gain his parents' attention. They are always posting how proud they are of the adopted son's football playing abilities and how beautiful the adopted daughter is. And they wonder why their bio son is a head case. It's evident that they only adopted these children to portray themselves as do-gooders and I'm pretty sure they think the son is going to play in the NFL one day so he's their meal ticket. He's a pretty decent athlete but he's got a poor attitude and has been ejected from quite a few games. When this happens, they make excuses for him and say it's because he's black. It's really messed up.

I've never actually seen black parents formally adopting a child of any race.

I know four black families who have adopted children. One of they ended up killing the mom so I'm a little hesitant to adopt now.

Adoption in general is something that NEEDS to gain a lot more traction in this nation.
it is so fricking hard and expensive to adopt in the US. Thats why some people are going to Asia to get kids. make the process a little more streamlined and it might become more common.

i mean really like 65k-80k to give a kid a better life? I woud like to know whose pocket is this 65k-80 going to.

Studies have shown that their kids don't stand for a song and it pisses off old white people real bad.

It costs a lot more to adopt a white kid. It's a shame and makes me feel awful for black children in the system because they are literally being told they are worth less than their white counterparts. At the same time, this does make adoption more affordable. The kids up for adoption in LA and TX (and I imagine elsewhere) are overwhelmingly black. It's incredibly sad.

A good friend of mine and his wife adopted a little black boy and his parents were literally the worst of the worst. They apparently lived in a house w/o electricity, had major drug abuse problems and this kid could not have asked for a more loving family to be a part of.

Sometimes it comes across as white guilt *cough Angelina Jolie*, but most view those kids as humans that need a better life or just a shot at a better life.

Easy enough to do, if you live in Lafayette, you probably know who he is, but otherwise he may not be well known.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant they held true to racial stereotypes. One instance of anything doesn't prove that thing.

and ended up in prison

And that is an epic fail, the Asian kid should have ended up with a math scholarship to Tulane to hold true to type.
