plenty of people adopt in this country, but adopting American born kids is exponentially more difficult than adopting Asian or African born kids

most of the parents that I know that have adopted, have adopted foreign children because the process is easier

we have some friends that just got back from adopting their #15 chinese kid

Was it an African or American? I've heard that African adoptions are difficult thought I've never understood why.

First, you link to and site a Wikipedia article. Second, you site a portion of the article that has

The first thing I mention in the post that the data in the link is unsubstantiated . . . I suggest you read things more comprehensively and control your trolling impulses.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know why?

I have a black adopted cousin. Andre managed to get a 0.0 GPA his first semester at Baylor and now is a bartender/waiter in San Marcos. All he had to do was graduate from college and he had a position at my uncle's company. Sometimes laziness can't be fixed.

I know a religiously conservative white family who specifically wanted to adopt a black child and did so. I'm not sure their reasons for seeking out a black kid. They seem happy today.

I know a very liberal white family who specifically wanted to adopt a black kid and they did. After they adopted the child, they sold their nice home in the St. Louis suburbs and moved to an older townhome near downtown St. Louis to be in a more "diverse area". This couple is insufferable. They've become black lives matter windbags who lecture on race relations. We're no longer their friends.

The last time we saw them, the wife lectured us on our "stupidity and irresponsibility" for choosing to live in SW Missouri, which is 94 percent white.

My response to her: "We LOVE where we live! Plus, we never have to deal with riots and burning neighborhoods. SW Missouri is peaceful and a great place to raise a family. Why would we want to live in St. Louis where crime is high and blacks and whites don't get along?"

Her response: "Because it's your responsibility to raise your children in a diverse area or you will raise them to be racist."

THANK GOD they're no longer our friends! They can enjoy their race war, riots, and plummeting property value. We'll enjoy our peaceful community.

LOL

I have some good friends that did this. The kids are awesome and I wouldn't consider the parents liberal by any means, just good hearted people that wanted to adopt.

My apologies, I normally do, for some reason I got rustled by the subject matter.

Adoption needs to not be soo expensive

You want to kill a baby before it is born?.....will cost you $500
Want to raise and love and protect an unwanted child as your own?....will cost you on average 20-50k

It was crazy. The guy was a prominent surgeon and his wife was an attorney. They were willing to pay whatever to speed up the process. They finally had enough of the BS.

Uh, this guy don't look black to me.

Probably because he isn't. He's got 4 kids ranging in age from mid 50's to early 40's. His oldest daughter was friends with one of my cousins, she's about my age.

Not sure where you got your info from.

courts and $$$$.

in most states (Texas in particular) doing a normal adoption is going to cost you 18k-25k minimum. if you want to do it through foster to adopt, the courts are taking the path of most resistance to separate a kid from parents.
