Just think about all the Discovery Channel shows that will never be.

Some old nut actually put one in Shreveport's water supply, Cross Lake way back when. It was a baby but it got bigger and started scaring fishermen so they made him get rid of it.

Say you don't know shite about big game hunting without saying you don't know shite about big game hunting.

It is not my style but any big game killed by a westerner in the past 30 years or so is a positive for the that species the vast majority of the time.

Again, there is zero chance a westerner is killing big game in this fashion for the benefit of anyone.

Is it a cool conversation piece at all? Pay a ton of money for people to set you up in a place with the proper equipment to where all you have to do is squeeze the trigger and it's a garuntee to get the kill.

Sounds pretty cool to me

You have no way of knowing that and even if it wasn't why does that matter if it is mutually beneficial?

I would bet the guy never has a conversation about how he went to Africa to kill xyz animal to benefit nature or whatever bs reason. To each his own, I don't care that much that someone does this, but don't act high and mighty like the dude's purpose was so righteous. The proof is on the wall in your op.

I never said it was because unlike you I never assumed his motives. I simply pointed out that it is mutually beneficial and your overaction to hunting strictly for sport being 100% bad is inaccurate.

Did I say it was bad? I just don't respect hunting for the wrong reasons. You're making an assumption by implying that it might not be for shitty reasons. Even a blind person could figure out this kind of killing is almost entirely for the thrill. It doesn't bother me, I just don't respect it and am not impressed by the collection. It's not so much hunting as it is just paying for the opportunity to kill something.

Your exact words were "glad this pos is dead"

How else should anyone take that?

Link? All I have ever said is that it is mutually beneficial. I have no idea what his motives were and never once alluded to them. Why are you lying when the responses are clearly typed out in this thread to refer back to?

Again..."glad this pos is dead"

That sure seems like it bothers you

I had a few coworkers that would travel and kill useless stuff in Africa.. New Zealand… I would ask what did it taste like.. I always got the same answer .. oh we did not eat it but they used it to feed the local villages… yeah .. I forget what the cost were but it was staggering.. you checked off the box on the menus of whst you wanted to kill.. red elk.. hippo.. giraffes.. etc.. then the price and wait for the taxidermy..

But theses are the same guys that farm their deers and feed them so they know their habits and “cull” them when needed and racks are big enough for them to win the local big buck contest..

I'd call you an a-hole for paying to shoot any of the three.

Imagine believing that the money these people spend on those hunts actually goes to conservation, and not straight into the pockets of the people who arrange them. Hunting in a zoo is for losers anyway.

Again I do not recall the price of the hunt and taxidermy.. travel.. lodge.. etc

You could buy a herd of hamburger meat and feed the village fir a year fir the cost off one of the bigger target.. I forgot what a elephant foot cost:(

His reasons are completely irrelevant. The hunting is beneficial.
