Alabama easy one.

Between NASA, Football, and the beaches, I’d say you’re effing high.

NASA’s presence alone keeps Alabama off the list.

then Mississippi can't make the list either, as the Delta's influence on American music is enormous

And yet the ignorance is on full display with downvotes.

Look up how many Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware, it’s something like 50% of them. I hate to say it but the rural south probably brings less to the table than anywhere else. Mississippi could disappear tomorrow and it nobody outside it’s borders would even notice.

the ones with net outmigration

People talking with their feet is way more persuasive than bullshitting on the internet about it.

Louisiana's industrial base also makes tons of products that the rest of the country uses. Oil, gasoline, plastics etc. It's why we have so many plant baws

Now that would be an interesting list. Which states have the most baws?

Alabama gave the world Hank Aaron, Satchel Paige, Willie Mays, Wilson Pickett, Joe Louis, Hank Williams, Lionel Richie and of course, Paul Bearer. I’d say they helped shape sports and entertainment in the country Bigly.

Don't beat up Delaware. Lots of money in Delaware. The best states for corporations and trusts.

What do they contribute?? Good laws and a very good judicial system.

It's hilarious folks say Mississippi. Obviously you have never spent any time here or have any perception of value outside of buildings and concrete. Some of the best deer hunting anywhere along with lots of other hunting, best crappie fishing in the world, awesome saltwater fishing, more sweet potatoes grown here than anywhere else along with lots of other crops...soy beans corn cotton etc.....huge influence in music, literature, and other arts. Just forget about all the shipbuidling and NASA stennis space center. Kessler AFB and the hurricane hunters. Yep nothing good over here. Not everyone likes concrete and crowds but downvote away I'll keep living an awesome life in MS ha!
