I imagine it's tough to be either a nurse or a pizza guy. Maybe those professions should just not communicate.

The nurse is circumventing the pizza place's closing time. He is guaranteeing the pizza place will close "for him" at 12:30, instead of midnight.

Following it up by demanding free pizza for all nurses places him in the drama queen category.

Enjoy the future spit, snot and ball sweat on your pizza.

I've worked in restaurants and delivered food while in college. Yes it's annoying as shite to get a super late order. But there's also a reason you are open to a certain time and not 5 minutes before that time. Do your job. Person who wrote that should be fired and anyone who knew about it leaving the restaurant should be fired. I've seen people get let go for less, like a girl asking if a table would rather sit in another section because she wanted to go home early and the manager told her when her tables were done. You start making customers feel unwelcome and you lose your business.

can argue either side.

But, having worked in the restaurant business and dealing with nurses- frick them. They can eat shite for all I care. Yes yall stupid bitches at olotl circa 2000- 2005

I find this thread funny. Things I've suspected but not thought of. First off, any nurse who eats pizza from that place after all this media and shite is CRAZY!!! Their store was mocked nationally and somebody probably got fired, They are fricking with your food.

Nurses never tipping? Many nationalities and races represented there. All cash is paid to the person picking up and it up to their own devices what they tip. I've been hesitant giving extra because a person I know is pocketing the money is carrying the cash. Or all cash is paid to one and they place it all on their card.

If that nurse is fresh from a country with "untouchables" then they cannot fathom handing anyone 20% of an order price.

I could go into a group by group diatribe, butI feel like my post would get whacked.

Pizza people were douches, but nurses were idiots. I don't place those type of orders. I've never worked in service industry, but have known far too many than to do anything to piss them off. UNTIL I have my food in hand. Then I may "let you have it". And if I do, rest assured I am not coming back until I am sure that locations staff has had time to completely turn over.

I never argue, send food back, ask for money back, etc. I don't feel you should ever ask for that. Just don't go back there. A good manager recognizes when they screwed up your experience enough to make you never come back and will offer the free food or whatever on their own. If you have to ask for it, never eat there again, and if you are never going to eat there again, what motivation does a place have to give you your money back.

Both parties are in the wrong here.

Dominos was still open. Sometimes you get screwed right at the end of your day when you work in a service industry. Deal with it, it doesn't happen that often, and don't risk your job openly complaining to a customer.

Nurse also in the wrong however, I'm sure Domino's hours were listed on the website when she looked up the number to place the order. Nurses are shift workers as well and I'm sure they hate being screwed by things like that happening to them. But nurses rarely seem to care about other people in the service industry from my experience and other comments in this thread, and they tip like shite

Pizza person was a douche for writing that. Nurse (or nurse's friend) was a 100x bigger douche for whining about it. Just eat your fricking pizza.

Well, if you are open to a certain time, then you are open.
Every business knows people come in at the last minute sometimes. Back in the old days the grocery store I worked in would announce "the registers close in 10 minutes" to the customers. And we would.

Nurse is right in so many ways here.

1) They took the order, right?
2) The hours were clearly posted, and indicate when the business no longer accepts orders for the day, *not* when the staff can go home.

Exactly. I never expected to see this reaction. Your business hours are not your employees working hours, it's the hours you are open for business. They shouldn't have tried to get a jump on cleaning up if it annoys them so much to do it twice. Again it sucks, but it's not something you complain to a customer about.

Now the nurse has her own shitty way of dealing with it, but that doesn't make the domino's guy less wrong.

What an attention whore. There are nurses that are much worse, trying to get out of doing work to dump it on the next shift.

Considering that approximately 100% of nurses are insufferable count, I'm siding with Domino's.

But I would have had a similar answer if it was "nurse or ISIS".

I'm on the Dominos side. frick this uppity nurse and her entitled friends. This whole "you were rude but if you give me free stuff it'll make me feel better" mentality fricking pisses me off.

If this nurse is rude to someone should that person demand free health care for himself and his neighborhood?

I hope every time this hospital orders pizza from now on that someone fricking spits, shits, and pisses all over their food.

Both wrong (nurse is a bitch for doing this though), and they don't tip for shite. Teachers were hit or miss on tipping. The male teachers and coaches did seem to tip well enough. The ladies, not so much.
