You do realize that restaurants start doing a lot of this stuff way prior to closing especially on a slow night right?
so what is your point? they are justified in passively aggressively hounding the remaining customers because they don't have anything else to do?

that was incredibly rude
Was it though?
It might be unnecessary, but it wasn't rude.
They still made the pizzas and delivered them, just a cordial note to please order a little sooner next time.
What you have been rude was telling them to frick off, they already started cleaning.
Who really needs a good arse-kicking in all of this is whomever posted the note online and demanded free pizzas.

please tell me the cut off on ordering frickING DELIVERY PIZZA then.
10 minutes until close?
30 minutes until close?
1 hour until close?
do people who order pizza 5 minutes after they open get the same note?

I seriously hope you don't work with customers. I love making my customers feel like it's a pain for me to do my work for them. They just eat it up and keep coming back for more
Like I said, I don't think the girl writing it intended it as a frick you, but more as a please be considerate to us. But to do that makes the customer feel like they did something wrong by giving you business (which I don't find inconsiderate at all), and that is rude.

I actually think this, obviously not in this harsh a wording, is less rude than providing the food and passive aggressively telling them I didn't really want to do this for you.

Gently walked up behind him as he was laying into his 4th different high school aged girl for "taking too long" on his THIRTY POUNDS of crawfish on a Friday night during Lent.. I took his arm and linked mine in his and said, "Sir, stop it. Come with me." I pulled him away from the girls and asked him to stop.
He immediately looked embarrassed and began apologizing to me. I told him I am the wrong person to apologize to and explained that he was being rude to these girls. He kept trying to explain his assholery and I ignored him. His crawfish came out and he took them and was STILL trying to talk to me and explain his side. I walked him to the door and said, "Sir, I did this throughout college and I know what it feels like to be screamed at for something you can't control.. especially by someone old enough to be your grandfather".
He looked so offended and I just shut the restaurant door on him and he left. The staff were thanking me like crazy. I know they'd get fired if they stood up for themselves.

I'd set the over/under for this nurse at 300 lbs. Take the over.

Domino's. Nurses have clocks and watches, too.

You sound so goddamn entitled. I bet people routinely spit in your food and I hope they do.

I Googled the definition of "inconsiderate".
Simply means someone did not consider/think something through and it hurt someone else.
It does not mean "infers that you consciously made the decision to put a person out of their way for you".

Friday night at Sammys. Come on. You think they were ignoring the dude on purpose? Let's be real. They were slammed and shite takes time. People aren't out to get us customers.

You forgot to bold this part. How is it painful or inconvenient to do your job????

If you don't think it is inconvenient to have to make enough pizzas for an entire nursing staff (article says she ordered for the team), call one of your drivers back out who is probably delivering the last orders that were placed ~30 minutes before closing, and extend your hours of operation... I may have to link the definition of inconvenient for you as well
They did the job. They can still consider it inconvenient to be performing the service after hours. To me, "hours of operation" means the hours they spend from start to finish performing a service to me. Not the hours they're willing to start on that service.
If it was a night where we knew we wouldn't be there very late closing up, we would say no to to-go calls 5 minutes before closing. No one bitched. Dominoes should have done that. But then again, what some 17 year old wrote on a pizza box shouldn't have anything do with Dominos. I doubt they endorsed it.

Said the friend, “I want to see an apology to that hospital. I don’t care if they have to bring a pizza to every floor, those nurses deserve something better.”
Papa John's should step in and having manning himself deliver and talk with patients.

No just making the point that oftentimes the entire restaurant staff is gone and the lights are out shortly after the closing time.

Nurse's side. Domino's wasn't closed, so they had to take the order. I understand the frustration, but they were still open.
That said the nurse is totally over-reacting. Just accept the apology and move on with your damn life. You might live longer if you don't get offended by every little fricking thing.

Well too bad. That's a risk you take breaking things down early. Trying to get out early doesn't make someone that comes in before posted closing inconsiderate.
Are you this big of an entitled baby in real life, or just on here?

Exactly. At least you are honest and say you dont give a shite whether you keep someone longer than otherwise. Wouldn't it be more considerate to not go to a place right when they close and not keep them longer though?
NO mf'er! Dominoes, pizza hut, etc have CALL CENTERS. If you call, the center places the order to the appropriate OPEN location nearest you. Get it?
Go to the websites now, the website does the same...it logs your address and takes your order then it sends it to the software of the location that will deliver.
And yea, if you do that and the order is ACCEPTED, you should not expect some random employee to write a note saying otherwise.
Yes, you can call location directly, and if they are open, they are bound by corporate to take the call! All of this is logged in their system and scrutinized to the nth degree.
The phones are shut down and sent to a message automatically BY THE SOFTWARE!
My God, get a grip
