I was in college, and the verdict might not have "changed" race relations, but it was a hugh eye opener to the wide gap between whites and blacks. Before then I didn't realize how much differently whites and blacks viewed race issues. It's so apparent when you watch the reaction shots that 99.9% of blacks were jumping for joy and 99.9% of whites were disgusted. And then it was like, "wait a minute, why are they so happy?" OJ was as much of a cornball brotha as you could ever be, yet the African American community rallied behind him just because of his skin color.

Obama is a community organizer. He systematically organized the black community to believe they aren't the problem and white people are, and then got them to band together and protest everything they can.
You've got to ask yourself....was race anywhere near as big a problem 7 years ago? We now have blacks being overtly racist all over the country, and people are backing them and telling them it is only okay for them to be racist.
Just look at how many black people he's invited to the White House vs how many white people.
They refuse to accept that they are holding themselves back, and instead, scapegoat everything they can to justify doing bad shite. I mean, they're blaming their murder rate on statues that have been in place for a hundred years. What kind of logic is that?

Obama by a long shot. He's the POTUS. He takes sides/is divisive not just in the George Zimmerman case but in multiple issues in which the outcome/law had not yet decided said cases. He has been the most divisive President in U.S. history.

I could be off base here. I think it's pretty accepted that black people widely believed that he was guilty, but they wanted to see him get away with it because they thought it made up for white people getting away with crimes against black people and black people getting blamed for crimes that they didn't do. That's what it seems like to me at least. It's pretty crazy to think about. It just makes it seem like there is an element to how black people generally view race relations as being more about evening the score than actually receiving equal treatment.
The funny thing is that what it really all came down to in the OJ case is that wealthy people tend to get away with more than poor people because they can pay their way out of trouble. That hasn't changed.

Democrats created the problem (KKK, Jim Crow, etc) and now Democrats continue to promote it.
This one is really easy. In fact, you look at the vast majority of US History and look at the root cause of a lot of "scandals", Democrats are at the center of it.
Segregation - Democrats
Suffrage - Democrats
New Deal - Democrats
Prohibition - Democrats
MJ Illegal - Democrats
Federal Reserve Democrats
The list goes on and on.
PS - I was a registered Democrat until 3 years ago.

Obama......like it or not and admit it or not, I think the Obama presidency exposed that we are not as far along in race relations as we thought or represented. We still have bias....maybe it is not so much race bias as it is cultural bias...but it was definitely exposed.
