All of this. Black president and it exposed us. Nothing has changed. Social media and the 24 hour news cycle have given the fringe on both sides a voice.

Obama's desires for gun control are centered around a very specific and minor area of violent crime that has increased

well if we're going with an individual DEM, Soros has done more to affect race relations than probably any individual
he is literally funding these protests across the country
True.
I was just pointing out history repeating itself with one particular party on several fronts, with "racism" being used as a wedge in almost every agenda item they want to push.
Would you have ever thought, in your wildest dreams, that simply opposing a policy like the ACA would make one "racist"?
That is what we have become. Thanks to....drumroll...the Democrats.

i think the Obama years have exposed the growing gap in America, which is largely created based on culture
however, it's more than just that. our economy and way of life are changing
Obama came into office following the 2008 crash, which made many US industries learn to be more efficient and leaner
on top of this, our technological evolution continues to explode exponentially, and these technological creations and efficiency create an economy that requires fewer workers of low skill

Why would you have qualms about stating yay or nay on agreement with his gun control ideas?

Race relations had been slowly progressing for the past 108 or whatever years. They reached a good point in the 90s, but continued to get better (with a few short lived setbacks).....until starting a quick decline when Obama ran for and got elected president.
I've dealt with a lot of black people in my life, and before Obama, the only ones who had a problem with white people were males older than 50. Nobody else even cared.

Neither. The Media.
They hype or ignore stories and include or exclude details to create controversy.

Social Media is what has set back race relations

Obama or George Zimmerman?
c. The media. They make everything a huge racial story, even when it shouldnt be. Zimmerman and the Ferguson thing werent originally about race, but became that thanks to the media.

yeah narcissism doesn't look good regardless of your melanin content
creating identity politics within a group of extreme narcissists is just asking for absurdity to become reality

The jobs that used to allow a man of modest gifts to buy a home, feed and clothe and educate his kids, and enjoy a modicum of financial security just aren't there any more. The ever growing number of people who no longer have a seat at the table is one of the biggest threats our society faces and it won't be solved by buying more guns.
