I have filed lawsuits in every district and parish court in the state and probably every city court as well. I have physically appeared in the following district courts:
Caddo
Bossier
Webster
Union
Red River
Concordia
Avoyelles
Lafayette
Pointe Coupee
EBR
Livingston
Tangipahoa
Ascension
Assumption
Iberville
WBR
St. James
St. John
St. Charles
Lafourche
Terrebonne
Washington
St. Tammany
Orleans
Jefferson
St. Bernard
Vernon
The nicest courthouses are probably Bossier and Jefferson because they are newer and the worst would be Concordia and Lafourche.
Personally, I like the old courthouses in Caddo and Assumption and others that have renovated instead of building new. Although Red River was run down, I liked the old building.

They have a new one on the main drag in Ferriday now.

The old one in Beauregard is real Gothic with the hanging tower on top.

Looks like Lake Pontchartrain dried up on this map...

Which was the nicest
Tough question.
Jefferson Parish's new courthouse is great.

which was the shittiest?
CDC. No doubt. Orleans Parish civil is the shittiest courthouse ive ever been in.

I've been in all the courthouses from Rapides and north of there. I've been in a small handful south of Rapides.
Tensas Parish courthouse is pretty bad.
As bad as some of the old courthouses are, it is still pretty cool to hear their history. It always amazes me how small folks must have been in the early 1900's because I swear you almost have to turn sideways in some of the urinal stalls just to piss.

Old Plaquemines parish courthouse before it burned down. Was a nice little old courthouse on the river. Ways down there though

Bossier (new)
Webster
Red River
DeSoto
Natchitoches
Winn
Grant
Franklin
Vernon (old)
Rapides
Beauregard
Allen
Calcasieu
St. Landry
Iberia
Iberville
EBR (old)
Livingston (old)
Washingston
St. Tammany (new)
Jefferson (new)
Orleans
Nicest would probably be the new Bossier or Jefferson. Inside is very nice in both of these.
For worst I could probably select any of about 3 or 4, but I'll go with Franklin, Livingston, and Washington.
Beauregard probably looks the coolest from an architectural standpoint, and being adjacent to the old gothic jail is a nice touch as well. Definitely my favorite from the outside.

Ascension
Iberville
Tangipahoa
Maybe others but I'm not sure. I don't have business in court houses often and don't really make the effort to remembering the different ones I've walked int over my lifetime.

I'm really good at finding the best places to eat in the Parish seat.
I'm interested in a run down of this. What's the best place to eat in Homer?
I was pleasantly surprised by the town of Natchitoches, the courthouse isn't great but the clerks are helpful and there're lots of good places to eat downtown.

My list would be shorter if it was which ones have I not been in.

Did you know there are a set of twin courthouses?
Beauregard Parish
Morehouse Parish
Courthouse serves as model for twin
Also interesting, the Beauregard Parish Courthouse is in the process of temporarily moving into the church that it has always been on the same block with. The church happened to relocate around the same time that renovations have been planned for the courthouse.

I practiced law in Louisiana, actively, from 1998 to 2008 - my best guess is ~50.
Easier to list the "haven't gone". For whatever reason, I don't think I made it to Madison, Franklin or Tensas in the northern part of the state. For Acadiana and surrounding areas - I think I missed Cameron, Vermillion, St. Mary and Terrebonne (just not sure on Terrebonne). Other than EBR, I don't think I've been to any of the Florida Parishes courthouses. As for the rest - River Parishes, "down the bye" and N.O. - I missed Lafourche, Plaquemines and CDC in Orleans.
Now that I look at it, not a bad SWAG without counting - looks like 47 if I missed the 17 I listed.
