Love the architecture of house B. I used to own a Craftsman style house with no garage. I now own a house like A with a huge garage in the front. It's more functional and frick not having an attached garage when it is 10 below zero or has just snowed 8 to 10 inches.

A
Because it is brick which means less maintenance in the long run.

B...never want the garage entrance facing the front.

B, if the amenities are the same.
If B has no garage, however, it is a no go.

This.. I think to some a brick house is some type of status symbol.
Brick is much lower maintenance and your insurance will also be cheaper

I'll take A.
Brick looks better.
Vaulted ceilings are nice.
If I really want to sit on a chair and stare at the street I'll open the garage door.
House B looks like a Habitat for Humanity house.
(This is all assuming you are in some cookie cutter suburban neighborhood. If the house is in an historic residential area, with street parking or alley parking, then I'd take House B)

beat me to it...
seriously, it seems like every house in every neighborhood in BR looks just like that, or some similar derivative of it...

I don't know much about HFH houses, but the outside design of those houses doesn't have their own distinguished look other than looking pretty standard. I would imagine they are built to just meet code and all, but with house B you can do more to "personalize" it.

It seems like B is by far the most popular choice.

B looks better. Really hard to find a B house that has the amenities of the A house though. There were a few places with B style houses when I moved, but they were tiny neighborhoods with 1 parking space and the houses had nothing in them compared to the A style.
And that A example is a really bland example of an already blah style of house.
