Just let it run its course, you'll be alright. Most likely if it's just vomiting it's Staphyloccus aureus exotoxin, which is short-lived and removed quickly by the gag reflex.

Diarrheal ailments like Salmonella, Campylobacter, even norovirus are nastier and longer lasting, and harder to eliminate (no pun intended). There's often fever and risk of dehydration. The worst of the diarrheal diseases are dysentery (painful), CHOLERA, and one other which is so terrible I refuse to mention it before breakfast.

Last time I had this happen I hit a point around 3 or 4 something A.M. that I asked God to let it end or just kill me.

You never forget food poisoning. Had it twice in my life and the part where you mention God to let it end or just kill me i agree with.

Typically, I'd prefer the shits.

But, when I was hammered drunk, nothing felt quite as good as puking all those Taco Bell bean burritos out right before I went to bed.

Bonus; I got to shite the rest of it out the next day.
