World Cup, easily
World Cup is one of my favorites sporting events, which is kinda odd, since I really don't watch soccer any other time
I'll watch the Tour if its on for background noise, kinda like I do golf

Yep.
A lot of people watch sports because they want to be a part of an event. The World Cup, obviously, draws much more interest and is probably a more dynamic "event." Tons of history and geopolitics under the surface.
The Tour is amazing and interesting in theory, I just don't personally find it entertaining. I watch sports to be entertained. I'm sure some find it riveting, so I hope they're enjoying it.

The whole point is to be as light and aerodynamic as possible on the bike. While the helmets look strange...those that wear them aren't wearing them for fashion reasons.
