The Rothchilds can make the scariest mafia members piss themselves.

At this point, its gotta be the Mexican cartels.

I agree. New rackets with the new world.
Rico coupled with bad bosses and members shitting on omerta really hurt them here.
It's also not as glamorous as it once was. People aren't growing up in the big cities wanting to join. There are plenty of other legal avenues to make a lot of money.

that's what i'm saying there are worse than Mexico, but Mexico is more bloody right now b/c of a civil war
Mexico is pretty good in terms of SOL for central/south America. there are many, many worse countries and many worse gangs
many African conflicts have that blurred line, too. is it a gang or a rebel force engaged in civil war?
the interesting scale is how authoritarian the government is, because this often limits organized crime. that's why in many of the SE Asian countries you don't hear about as many groups (the government won't allow it). those countries don't value life at all and when war lords rise up , millions can die

The Washington D.C. mafia is the scariest, no matter what party is in power.

I've always wondered what can a person do if his small family business is targeted by mafia types, say like wanting a cut of the action...say 20% of gross sales.
what can a person do?
obviously your family is at risk if you don't comply..

Simple. You send your family away and then you kill them.

The U.S. After renewing season tickets, I always believe that the TAF is the biggest mafia.

I don't know who is, but I know who is not. The Yakuza. I used to live in Japan and by chance met a guy (Korean background born in Japan w/Japanese name) that was all up in this world and so I started reading everything I could about it at the time. They stick to a code that makes pretty good sense compared to the others. They don't really have a need for extreme fear or extreme violence. The Japanese aren't terrorized by them, they stick to the sex, drugs and gambling, and they resolve things 99% of the time by acquisition rather than destruction. The Yakuza probably maintain Japanese crime within the Japanese order way more than Japanese Law Enforcement would admit publicly.

Lots of experts in this thread.
I love when the experts come out in threads like this one. You see the same thing in "X animal vs Y animal" threads. It's hilarious.
Next time you're around a bunch of drunk people debating stupid shite, it will remind you of the OT.

Regular gangs in Brazil are far more violent. Look at what MS-13 does to people or Los Zetas of Messico. Some gang inside prison in Brazil made these two dudes blow eachother before killing them. Yikes!
Good call on the Albanians though, they are a tough bunch as well.
