We bought a Genesis GV80 two weeks ago. I know that’s not what you’re looking at, but ours is a great vehicle. We do have a friend that has the G80 and loves it.

This is simply not true these days.

I have a 2015 S5. It's never been in the shop outside of scheduled maintenance.

Also, would you tell the dealers that you were just casually looking around and might be looking to get into a new car, or go full out and tell them you are shopping these 4 cars and whoever gives the best price would get a sale in the next couple days?

You can tell them whatever you want but in today's car climate, they dictate what they will sell it to you for.

If I had to choose one of those posted by OP, could afford any of them, and site unseen with no test drive, I’d probably go with the Genesis. Their cost of ownership and reliability are far greater than the other 3 brands listed. Kia? Really, dude?

So, Genesis > Audi > Mercedes >>>>>>>> Kia

Next time I’m in the market for a vehicle, however, I’ll be looking for something that can pull at least an equipment trailer.

Thanks for your opinion.

The Kia And Genesis are made by the same parent company. They have the same power plant and electronics. The Kia is the sport and Genesis the luxury of basically the same car.

Out of those 4 I would probably get a Lexus IS. I wouldn't trade my Q50 in on any of those 4.

I made the C300 mistake a few years ago. As soon as the warranty was up, it developed serious ($5K) engine trouble. Don’t do it. My older car was still going strong (2007 Toyota Sequoia that now has 250K miles on it), so we ditched the C300 for a 4-Runner and are extremely happy....

Do you need a minute to get the shite you just stepped in off your foot? I guess you didn’t realize Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are basically all the same company.

Kinda like GM/Chevy/Cadillac, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/infinity, and so on...

Stinger GT1 has plenty of bells and whistles and the same motor. I have one and love it.
Still want an Audi S5 one day though. But for now... $43k vs $65k was the decision maker.

You couldn't be more wrong!

Hyundai is the parent company of Genesis

While Hyundai owns KIA they are very much different

Every kia I have driven has been a complete piece of crap. Ran like crap, rode like crap, felt like crap, I mean, made a base-model Ford feel like the height of luxury and engineering. Granted, it’s been almost 10 years since the last Kia model I’ve driven, so one would hope they’ve improved since then.

The Hyndais I’ve driven have all been very good cars for the money, and that Genesis looks badass.
