I’d pick up a club type hobby that older chicks do to, but that has a social aspect to the club. CrossFit gym, Orange theory, Running Clubs, Modern Churches, I’ve gone to CrossFit gyms in the past. Always seem to be women and men getting back into it because they’re newly single. Always social events.

Follow the BR music scene and go to places where bands are playing.
Once you figure out the bands the women follow most, stick with those.
Really it's finding the combo of good band and venue.

This is true. Saw plenty of creepy types dudes and desperate not fit chicks.
