Fort Collins. Not nearly as remote.

I spent my 20's in Boulder. If you are an outdoors-type person, you cant really beat it.

I can’t understand why anyone would willingly live in BR

Baton Rouge should not be on this list or a consideration at all.

I haven’t washed my car in years.

FoCO. Too many friends moved that way and haven't thought of looking back.

If I had to do it over I’d go #3

Option 1: Jackson, WY;
Easy choice for me, but I Like small towns, and mountains. They aren't for everyone though.

Not baton rouge that's for sure.

Jackson Wy is too expensive for anyone but a legit OT baller. Sadly, I am not joking. You'd end up living in Idaho and commuting over Teton Pass every day, which can be hair raising in winter.

Option 1: Jackson, WY; hunting, skiing/snowboarding, great scenery and wildlife year-round
True, but jobs are extremely limited, quality pussy is extremely limited, and the cost of living is sky-high.

Option 2: Baton Rouge, LA; I love Baton Rouge. The only thing I don't like is the traffic.

Option 3: Fort Collins, CO; great outdoor activity options, good late night crowd options, and close to family.
There's your winner.

If you're not prepared, it would suck, for sure. If you are, though, then it's awesome.
It’s not a question of preparation. I just don’t like cold weather and lots of snow. I love mountain destinations more than anything - but only in the summer when I can hike in shorts and a t-shirt.

Fort Collins - Mountains and the economy is good. No risk of getting "stuck"
Jackson, WY - Awesome place, quite expensive and remote. I love it there, but it's hard to get out
Baton Rouge - I mean, if the other 2 bottom out, it isn't Iraq or anything... but holy hell this isn't close to the other two. Are you on this board often? It's like an infomercial on 'how to leave Louisiana'

This is accurate. I say that as a person TRYING to get to BR

Why is BR even an option here??
