Where was your first job, and how old were you when you started?

My first job was at the old Putt-Putt golf course around Florida and Airline, not too far from where Fun Fair Park used to be. I was 16, and the year was 1987. I made $3.35/hr. Good times.

My first job was over the summer before high school, I was 12 freaking years old and worked at my aunt's new restaurant. I scraped silverware from rust for a month, then I helped in the kitchen. Couldn't have an illegal worker showing in public

Started helping my dad on the farm when I was a kid. Don't remember how old I was when I actually started doing work instead of playing in the dirt. But I know as soon as I was strong enough to hold the clutch in and let it out slow enough I was driving tractors

McDonald's on East Judge Perez in da Parish, was 16. 4.35/hour.

Car washer for a dealership at 15. Had to wash every car on the lot every week. Hot as hell on that asphalt. My best friend growing up also washed cars at the dealership next door, but he only had to do it inside. Lucky bastard.

Paperboy. Had a bench leg beagle named Leroy that would tag along. Leroy had asthma and the neighbors could hear when the paper was close.

I worked for my Dad during the summers doing bitch work for his construction company starting around 13, but I don't know if that counts.
My first "real" job was my senior year in HS, working in the lumber yard at Sutherlands making $5.15/hr. It was quite the pay cut from working with my Dad, but for some reason I was did not want to work for my Dad once I got older. Guess it just wasn't cool or something. Teenagers are retarded.

My first real job(read paycheck and not just paid in cash) was working in the meat department of a grocery store, packaging the pick 5 meats, stocking shelves, cleaning up, etc. I was 15.

I had a great job life guarding at our local town swimming pool. Wow, what fun and I have no idea what we were paid. No way it could have covered the fun and crazy times we had.
