Drive south to Big Sur. Stay at the Glenwood Motel.

We stayed at the Green Lantern Inn. Perfect location for walk to shops/restaurants and to Carmel Beach. One of the more economical places to stay when we went.

Do you want to stay in the Village or out more in Carmel Valley? Both great btw...more sun out in the valley Plus the hotels in Carmel can vary tremendously with respect to price. Give me a little more and I can give you some suggestions.

Tickle Pink Inn, without a doubt.

Beautiful scenery from your room. Morning breakfast, evening wine, a short walk to Point Lobos, and a couple of miles out from Carmel itself.

Stay away from the Lodge at Pebble Beach. For the money, it's just not worth it. Stay in one of the boutique hotels in Carmel.

That's not a thing. Glen Oaks Big Sur and Fernwood though are two of the limited motel options.

If considering the Valley, Carmel Valley Ranch is great: LINK

If you're willing to stay a few minutes north of Carmel, I'd recommend Sanctuary Beach Resort in Marina. It's beautiful and right on beach

The Pine Inn is the one. Just made reservations. Thanks everyone. Me and my 2 sons( all lifetime Giants fans), are doing a father sons trip. 3 nights in SF. Catch a game see the sights, then head to Carmel to check out the area.

Going with your sons, then in town is great. Tickle Pink Inn is great for couples.

Enjoy!
