We stayed at the Green Lantern Inn. Perfect location for walk to shops/restaurants and to Carmel Beach. One of the more economical places to stay when we went.
It's frozen, but at Costco they have Wild Caught Salmon that is about $10.00 per lb. 3 lb bag with each serving vacuum sealed.
All right everyone, I forgot the "see". Geez.

Best grocery for steaks

Which Baton Rouge grocery usually has the best cuts of steak? It's not something I usually buy but will be grilling next weekend.
I love his traditional pizza. Growing up in New York, it tastes very much like the pizza I had back in the 70's and 80's. In fact the very first pizza place in the U.S. was Lombardi's in New York City which opened in the early 1900's and is still there. If you look at their website, they have just one traditional pizza and one white pizza. They do offer toppings but for $4. or $5. each. I would think at that price most people would not get anything additional put on. I'm do hope Mama Della's stays open in spite of an owner who is a little gruff.
I went by and theres an "applied for liquor license" sign on the door. I am guessing they will not open until they have that. I don't know how long that usually takes. I hope they have a 2 for 1 day like Bourbon Street used to have.

Just went there tonight and sign on door says closed. Does anyone know if they are closed for good? No one said anything when I was there on New Years Eve.
Oh, I also asked they not bring the fries that come with it since I won't be eating them, they came with it anyway. No big deal but I thought it was funny when the waiter said "I know you didn't want the fries but that's how it comes so I couldn't take it off"

Went there the other night. Liked the decor and the food was ok but disapointed they would not budge on substitutions. Asked if they could put turkey meat like the meat they have on their BLT instead of the corned beef on the Reuben. The nice waiter checked with the cook and said no. But when they were out of the bread the sandwich came with they just brought it with another bread of their choosing instead of checking with us.

I had The Chimes brownie sundae and it was not as good as it used to be. Not too much fudge on it and not hot. Who has the best?

My mistake. It is Off the Hook. I was thinking that was the name of another restaurant I have been to. Thanks.
I have been to Off the Hook. That's not it. This one is somewhere near Siegen Ln or Industiplex but it is supposed to be on Airline.

There is one entree that both my husband and I get each time. The Miso Salad is yummy. It comes with crab and shrimp on top and is huge.
I just saw the sign. It's not open yet. I don't know what type of restaurant it is.

Saw a sign yesterday for Magnolia Grill, a taste of Baton Rouge, coming soon, in the same shopping center of Johnny D's. Anyone know anything about it?
The nice lady, Annie, did pass away from pneumonia.
The owner of Alladin Cafe's name was John and I think his wife's name was Sonya. I heard back about 15 yrs. ago they moved to Arizona to open a Lebaneese Restaurant there.
