First time parent of an almost 2 year old.
Wanted to take him out trick or treating for a little bit.
Never been in Baton Rouge
What are some good neighborhoods around the Kennilworth/Seigan/Burbank area?

Thank You

Let me help you by extending your thread by a few pages:

Will St. George allow Baton Rouge residents to trick or treat in their neighborhoods?

North BR hardly gets any trickortreaters. Might be able to load up on the candy if your kid is the only one.

I would imagine Kennilworth should be good.

Go in your own neighborhood. That's really your best option unless you want candy from the "other" bowl.

I’m more of a trunk or treater. Less walking.

Why are you taking an almost 2 year old trick or treating. They can’t eat candy, they won’t remember anything, and you’ll likely give them PTSD later on in life.

Go to a DSLD neighborhood where the houses are like 10 feet apart. Less walking

What shithole do you live in that you can’t stay in your own neighborhood?

Already got my sign up for st George kids only. Probably won’t keep the riff raff out. That’s why I have 2 separate candy supplies

St George-full size candy bars

Non-st George- that nasty candy that comes in orange and black wrappers

I live with one. She isn’t old enough for candy. But then again, she isn’t being raised by trashy parents

Find a church that is offering 'Trunk or Treat'. Lots of candy and will not scare your little one. I bet Healing Place has something.

Kenilworth, Magnolia Woods, Oak Hills

But really with a 2 y.o., you just walk about a block and they're done. At that age, we really just went to visit the neighbors who were our friends to show off the costume.

It's really just walking around, looking at the decorations. Don't need the candy.
I take him to stores and he loves looking at the decorations.
Wouldn't be out more than hour.

I remember passing through Kennilworth 3-4 years ago during trick or treat hours and there were maybe 7 houses decorated and doing something on the main road

We are living in my condo right now until my house is finished being built
Condo in BR. House in Prairieville, so I don't want to drive to Prairieville to walk around for that little bit
