And there isn't a damn thing that we can do about it so I don't feel guilty about my 17 mpg vehicle and my house ac on 71.

My wife keeps forgetting to turn it up when she leaves too. It's an ice box in here when I get home from work most days.

And I don't recycle. I just don't really feel like separating my trash

I’m not qualified to speak as to why it is warmer but I know that in my 6 decades the weather has changed drastically.

How did the rising temperatures become political? This is probably one of the reasons why I don't watch FoxNews nor CNN, nor others. It is so idiotic to say, with certainty, that the rising temps are created by man or not. And to a T, FoxNews pundants say it isn't man made, and CNN talking heads all say it is, all the while each side scorns the other.

Really feel bad the kids that have to practice, and especially play football in this crap. Went to a game Friday night, which was the coolest night we've had. It had rained and was still muggy.

Yeah, it's been great so far. It rained for an hour earlier but we're already back to blue skies.

Well, about 30 years ago what we are experiencing today (one record breaking year after another in higher temperatures, higher sea levels, melting arctic ice, and dying coral reefs) was predicted in report after report after report from the mid 70s to mid 80s due to man made global warming. Reports that have turned out to be quite accurate.

And those reports also predicted its going to keep getting worse. The trump administration actually predicted a rise in global temps of 9 degrees by the end of this century which will make much of the southeastern United states uninhabitable.

Fortunately I'll be dead. But it has made me actually think about moving much further north when I retire in about 25 years. The south is going to be a lot hotter for a lot longer than it is today in just 25 years.

Well, respectfully, that should be enough to tell you how stupid fox news is right there. Man made global warming is not even up for debate. Its a fact. One that you can see and feel as was predicted as a certainty decades ago.

We had 1/4 of our normal rainfall for September. It's spectacular. Normally sept and oct are rainy and windy with few days of sun.

Having 1/4th rain is what got us into firestorm. The forest is near dead here. Vast areas of pine beetle infestation.

We are planting oak. It cools the microclimate and can keep out the chapparal that plagues socal. The previous forest is burned or dying. It's a calamity.

As for man made influence, there is but nothing we do can stop the cosmic forces that move planets and galaxies.

Its stupid not to try though.

Burning coal is ignorant.
Its like our race is incapable of cooperation. Humans are ruled by greed so far. Money is all. Dumbassery to the max.
Plutocrats live in excess while the masses have to give up the idea of clean safe water.

Some people on this board who are around 20 are going to be some surprised frickers who look back with regret on just how fricking stupid they were in about 40 years. Especially when they still live in Louisiana sweating their balls off in January and barely able to breathe outside in August.

It is coming and people who are in their 20s and younger today will be the ones who really start to suffer. Then the generation after that will be completely fricked at some point if they are still trying to live in the southeast the latter part of this century.

I would laugh but I'll be dead.

True that. Lot of stupid frickers on this board. Personally I'll believe the experts who have been remarkably consistent and accurate for the past 40 years.
