Guy that owns the house is "blocking" his assistance in some kind of way because the owner is in insurance adjustments and knows how to.
Did he sign a lease or rental agreement?

I just met this guy so if I'm leaving out stuff it's because I don't know it.
I just feel bad for him.
And I called LDEC and they're open for another week so that will be my first question to him is why is he not there? If I feel he lies or is shady I'll just let it go.
You are getting bullshitted, plain and simple

Good question. From the sound of it, no. That would be too easy.

It's a stranger I met in passing. Don't know why he would lie but yeah I'm sure it's a possibility.

If this guy is in insurance I'm assuming he had flood insurance so FEMA wouldn't do anything. Unless your guy had renter's insurance I don't know why he would be expecting anything.

You're trying a little too hard today. Some of your posts were funny at first but now you're just being "that guy." Chill bro.

I had renters insurance the last 4 years in PA.
it was 4$ a month added to my policy. stupid not to have it

It's not like it's in human nature to lie.

I don't have any way to know if he is or isn't lying, but if he is, the answer is obvious -- he thinks he might be able to get something from you.

It's not actually. The basic foundation of a human contains honesty. It actually takes much effort to go against it and lie.
Same thing with believing in God. It's human nature to believe. People have to exhaust a lot of time and energy in not believing.
But now we've opened up another topic haven't we?
Later. Thanks guys for the responses!

Only someone that's never met a human would say this. What planet do you call home?

How did he end up in that spot in the first place?

I didn't waste one iota of energy not believing the story in the OP. I don't believe most people and it comes fairly naturally
