I know someone that has been asked to leave the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Having no place to go, he is staying in his car in the Walmart parking lot.

Anyone know of any options?

(home destroyed, no FEMA assistance)

Drop him off at the fire station. Safe haven law. They have to take him.

Ok, really. Did they close LDEC? Why was he asked to leave with no alternative?

Could come down to Houston and take up camp under HWY 59 by Minute Maid Park. There's enough guilted citizens downtown that enable these people's behavior which gives them a pretty comfortable life. He should enjoy it.

Home destroyed as in gone?

My house flooded but I would go stay there in a heartbeat rather than sleep in my car in a parking lot. If it's gutted and dried out it's doable.

Lamar Dixon was keeping me dry,
But I like to get high.
So they got upset and kicked me out.
I now live at Walmart, give me a shout.

Lamar Dixon is 100% open. There was some confusion and people left but it is definitely open.

Man rented part of a house.
House destroyed.
Guy that owns the house is "blocking" his assistance in some kind of way because the owner is in insurance adjustments and knows how to.

I just met this guy so if I'm leaving out stuff it's because I don't know it.

I just feel bad for him.

And I called LDEC and they're open for another week so that will be my first question to him is why is he not there? If I feel he lies or is shady I'll just let it go.
