The benefits of marijuana are well documented. But it is psychologically addictive(as is video games and almost anything else). What are the OT’s thoughts? Should it be legal?

As someone in the industry, heavily in favor.

A regulated market (in theory) lessens the illicit market, provides consumers a safer product, and stimulates the economy.

As someone who enjoys an adult beverage much more than cannabis, even I have to admit that if one should be legal over the other in terms of harm caused, the government got it dead wrong.

Legalize it or ban alcohol.

It should be 100% legal but not for tax revenue reasons.

I'm probably in the minority on this but I think all drugs should be legalized.

Absolutely it should be legal. The government should have no say in what an adult does in his free time, as long as it’s not hurting anyone.

Anyone who disagrees and calls themselves a small government conservative is a complete joke

Don’t smoke weed at all.

For. Big time.

I support more freedom.

I say legalize it. It would save counties/parishes millions when those arrests are eliminated.

You forgot the caveat: "unless I disagree with it. Then ban the shite out of it and throw them in jail."

The OT has come a long way in the past 10 years. This place used to be very against weed. I guess the boomers are dying off

I honestly don't know many people who aren't for legalization of marijuana at this point. It's ubiquitous anyway. Might as well get the tax revenue off of it.

I don't smoke weed at all....but gummies are the shite

Let the states decide. Decriminalize it federally.

If the states want to allow it, cool. Folks can choose which state they'd like to live in, based upon that and all the other criteria that go into the decision.

I'm personally against smoking it in public, though. Misdemeanor ticket/fine with real implications for multiple offenders would be ideal.

I'd really like to see the positive benefits from job creation and taxation to address deficiencies in schools and infrastructure. Wishful thinking though..

I enjoy it more than alcohol, and in moderation. I don't see the harm in it at all - other than supporting a black market. Eliminate that, and I struggle to find why it is illegal.

From what I understand, in MS, the 65 will add 7 pages of rights for pot businesses to the state constitution, which is REALLY hard to undo. 65A is not nearly as big of a leap, and wouldn't completely override county/city ordinances that would limit the proximity of the pot shops to schools and churches (I believe 500ft is what 65 allows).

I don't smoke anything.

Never have. Never even tried it.

I'm 53.

I kinda look down on those that smoke (anything except cigars) and especially cigarettes.

I say legalize that shite nationwide. It's a stupid habit but it's even more stupid to fight it. It's no better or worse than alcohol in general.

When I retire I may try some legally bought weed in some form, but I really doubt I'll pick it up as a habit. Beer and scotch do the trick just fine for me.

I can’t think of a single rational reason that it shouldn’t be legalized.
