Where do police officers go after high proflie cases? For example...Darren Wilson

Do the cops in the Alton Sterling case, do they show back up to work and go back on patrol just like everyday work?
Do they move them into admin? I can't imagine that would be the case.
I would imagine Darren Wilson is practically in protective custody.

Darren Wilson was out doing normal stuff in public during all that and no one even had a clue who he was.

I can't imagine it's an easy life after that. For one, you killed someone. That's going to last forever. Then having it be a high profile case where you were basically convicted in the media...

This. I reached out to a friend to let one of the officers involved know myself and most rational people are with him and glad at least this first hurdle is over and hopefully all this bs will end soon because it's an open and shut case....or should of been an open and shut case
