You’re going to love Tortola and The Baths.

In May, we drove with the kids to the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas. Tent camped to keep the hotel costs down and to be able to wake up in the middle of all that natural wonder. We kayaked the river for 8 hours one day, visited Blanchard Springs Cavern another day, and spent all other days just hiking around the campground trails.
5 people. We did the whole trip on less than $2,000.

Boston, New Hampshire, and Maine. Caught a Red Sox game, did some lobster fishing, and enjoyed some amazing weather.

Wife and kids wanted Branson, MO so we're heading there at the end of the month. Kids are 8 and 13, so they're into theme parks, riding go-karts, etc.
Did Branson the last two summers, kids all enjoyed it. Make sure you do Silver dollar city and top of the rock golf cart nature trail tour. Also the biggest bass pro shop in the world is just north of Branson. Has a big acquarium kids will like.

Hawaii for 12 days in April. Spent our daughters college fund but she ain't overly bright anyhow and the world needs ditch diggers more than Medieval Women's Study majors anyhow...
Wife and Daughter did 5 days in Pigeon Forge together.
Wife and I are doing a 4 day frick fest in Highlands NC next month. At our age that means we might have sex twice or might tell one another to go get fricked 10-12 times over 4 days...
Son and I will be going to the WLOCP for 5 days in October / November while the wife and daughter go to Dallas for a wedding....some folks who ought to know better scheduled a wedding during football season if you can believe it. The fact that I am going to Jacksonville instead may well lead to at least a couple of those frick yous next month in Highlands....

We always took our big vacation in the Fall when it was cooler.
My kids got to do Disney and Universal every year, Miami, multiple trips to Europe, including, Germany, France, Spain, London Norway (the Viking museum), Nashville, everywhere in Texas, San Fran, Vegas, NY, Boston, Chicago, LA, Hawaii, multiple trips to Atlantis, Costa Rico, St Thomas, Canada, Fiji, etc.
My wife was a travel master and we could do a two week trip to Europe cheaper than most could do a week at Disney. (And she wouldn’t stay at anything but 4/5 Star hotels.
The one place I don't miss is Disneyworld, or Disneyland, Disney Europe was ok.
Terrible food, long lines with thousands of fat miserable mfers

only taking one vacation during the entire summer is trashy
Even if it means knocking about Europe for 3 months?

does your financial planner let you take vacations? or are you still out of the market trying to time it?

This summer is just the Pensacola Beach trip in the week between my kids various summer camps and school starting
We do our bigger trips after Christmas and either Easter or MG week, depending on when they fall around work schedule demands

My son got to travel a lot this summer.
He spent two weeks in Louisiana with his grandparents, but he has done that every summer since moving to Tennessee.
I took him to Montana.
He is in Alaska with his Dad right now.
