Not sure what his long play is. I'm sure he has some political advisors coaching him and polling for him. I think this mayoral election was ripe for the taking. I'm thinking he was late to maybe gauging his chances. The statue stuff came fairly late in the season and then the pump stuff when people started clamoring his name around.... I'm spitballing

He was one of the first names seriously thrown around.
Ol boy is suddenly beloved but still a schmuck. His development on esplanade a prime example of that ongoing.

Because he just signed a new contract for his TV show this past summer.
Now his got himself in some hot water with CNBC and the FCC by trying to manipulate the outcome of this mayors race.

Heard a commercial from his Voice PAC this morning bitching about Charbonnet's pay to play deals out at the airport. For all his skeeziness, at least someone is speaking the truth (even if it's to fit his agenda).
