The I-20 stretch all the way from the TX/LA border through Bossier City. Worst roads I've ever driven on. It's particularly bad once you cross the Red River and get into Bossier if you're going West to East. But they're equally as bad going either way.

I believed the myth about LA having the worst roads was true until about a month ago. I did a trip around Boston and drove to New York passing through 4 other states. Louisiana has nothing on those roads. So we can end the "Louisiana has the worst roads" myth.

Verot School in Lafayette. Or I-10 around Lafayette. Or Evangeline Thwy in Lafayette (it's disgusting). Horrible first impression on anyone visiting. Looks like a 3rd world country.
Lafayette needs its shite to get together.
Lafayette needs its shite to get together.

The left turns on Evangeline are hard to get used to as well

Went through there Friday. You drive on nice roads in Texas and the minute you hit Louisiana it’s dodging mini speed bumps and potholes for the next 20 miles. Every time my wife is with me, she’s usually taking a nap. The minute we leave Texas, she wakes up and says “I guess we are back in Louisiana”.

Agreed 100% I said the same thing! La roads are rough but I have been in MY for a month and they have some very rough roads. The winters and salt are harsh up here

The Lakeview neighborhood in NOLA gets my vote. Whitey lives there, so no city help for him.
To be fair most of he city has roads similar to lakeview.
On side note the wife and I went to Shaya last night and saw our new Mayor. She seems to enjoy supporting local businesses and loves her some lamb Ragu and naan

I blame the 5 axels for this part of I-10. Should probably be 4 lanes the whole way
Consider this for a moment. Highland to the new bridge is what? 15 miles?
It goes from 2 lanes to three lanes(past highland) back to two (I-12 flyover) to 5 (college) to 4 (to acadian) to three (to 110) to two (110 flyover) to 3(the bridge) and ends with two on to Port Allen.
Think about that.

Hwy 90 between Lafayette and New Iberia is a washboard. I can’t even drink a cup of coffee. Does this include the atrocity that is Evangeline Thruway?
The Thruway is actually worse.

Fully agree with Lakeview, especially the West Harrison side.

Even more ludacris, why this hasn’t been fixed/expanded. It hasn’t changed for as long as I’ve been alive. I mean, use eminent domain, get an out of state contractor or whatever you gotta do. It’s completely unacceptable.

Have to agree...I can’t think of a stretch of highway that is worse than 71 at Lebeau...it is just comically bad!
