When you’ve had your dog neutered,

Has he or she became aggressive afterwards? My shih tzu Oscar went to the vet Wednesday and got clipped. Plus he got his shots for rabies and other things. The day of, he was real tired and quiet. Since then, he’s really went through many emotions. Is this just a testosterone thing he’s going through? He’s just growling and showing his teeth to me and I haven’t done anything to him. Kinda scary

No I didn’t have that problem. My dog did get a hematoma in his sac though and I was pretty scared it got very big. Poor dude had a tough time

I keep his balls in a jar in the utility room.
When that sumbitch gets uppity, I pull the jar out and show it to him so he remembers how far I'm willing to go to change his attitude.

Well the vet said it takes 4-6 weeks for the testosterone to leave their system. He went under anesthesia for all of this, so I’m sure he woke up feeling like WTF? Vet said if he’s acting bad, it’s his hormones going crazy. Gotta wait it out.

Yes, it’s an inflammatory pill to reduce swelling from his surgery. The side effect is aggression. I read the rx and he only has to be on it two more days.

That’s what happened. He got em cut off and he’s on an inflammatory pill that reduces swelling but can cause super aggression. If I read his papers more, I woulda already known that. Just wanted others opinion
