Eventually the evidence will show that they did the best they could and they won't get charged. That's when the real riots will start.

By anyone or just by cops? We can't hold them to different standards when it comes to using force.

Graham vs Connor ruling mainly governs the use of force for police officers.

Likely the national guard will be brought in just in case. It will be a while before this goes to trial anyway so calm down until after football season.

Now the guy up in Minnesota is toast unless some more evidence comes out.

Can you explain this too ? All I've seen is that one live Facebook video and whatever provoked the officer to shoot isn't on camera. So did something new come out or is the officer heard in the video saying he fricked up or something ?

The federal grand jury was called to emergency service this Monday morning and will be hearing evidence today and possibly tomorrow. Look for a decision to indict in the next few days.

The DOJ is involved, it will move quickly to insure the announcement doesn't piss off Hillarys voting block.

All over twitter they think it is a slam dunk there will be prosecution.

This is the future of this country. Unfortunately there are issues beyond this that the snowflakes don't understand as well. Man I hope they grow up.

Another angle Sterling's mom is playing is she's now saying there was no homeless man out there at all and they're going to try to say the police targeted him from the beginning.

Between this and the store owner constantly changing his story, this is quite the clusterfrick.

So in your opinion if the story from the cops that go hand in hand with their reaction during the altercation and their verbiage, and the fact that the gun was sticking up in his pocket when the officer retrieved it. If none of that is true then why did they shoot? All of the evidence presented spell out that the shooting was justified. Is it gruesome? Yes. Should it have come to that? No. Do I understand why a man who missed his kids growing up due to his decisions would fight for his life knowing that if he was detained and they found the gun he would be going away again, especially considering he was already awaiting trial for drug possession while on parole? Yes, I can completely understand why Alton would fight to be detained, and I can completely understand why he wouldn't give himself up even when everything, but his arm that was under the bumper was free. Was he going for the gun? Were the police supposed to wait for him to fire before they reacted? He was told twice to keep his hand away from his pocket (you can actually fire a weapon while its in a pocket... I know I know, but believe it or not a trigger can be pulled without putting a hand in the pocket, and a bullet can go through fabric) twice by the cop and did not comply.

TL;DR Alton had reason to fight (felon w/gun on parole=jail), cops couldn't wait to be shot once gun was observed and he kept fighting, and guns can shoot through pockets (see Plaxico Burress).

BR guys get off.

Dude in Minnesota might be fricked though. That was a much, much worse shoot.

Yep. BR will be more of the struggle. The victory for this movement is in Minnesota. Sadly I think if it plays out like this it will be spun as "south is racist and too slow to progress."

1. If charges will even be brought against them will be at least two weeks.

2. If they ar charged trial will be at least six months away

My guess is they won't be charged and the explosion will commence

There's no reason the cops should have to wait for the guy to have a gun in his hand while fighting them to shoot him

I know they said the body cameras were ripped off during the scuffle but there still has to be footage and audio recording. I'd be interested in seeing that too. It could tell us a lot

This.

I will be surprised if the cops get charged. After watching the 2 popular videos that have surfaced so far, one thing I noticed while watching the video from the car, is that after they got him to the ground and were wrestling with him for a bit, both cops at the exact same time both quickly put their hands on their gun, which to me says that Alton did something that caused both cops to quickly react in the same way, a way in which they are trained.

Again, it all boils down to, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes"

Also, though it may have nothing to do with the situation at hand, idk how people can be so willing to stand up for someone with such a long criminal record, one of which being raping a 14 yr old girl, getting her pregnant. This goes against everything people were protesting/rioting over in the ferguson situation, because he was armed (illegally) and he wasn't some just some "good kid who wouldn't hurt anyone", his criminal record shows otherwise.

It's sad to say, but the lives of the 2 men involved in this will be forever changed, whether they do get charged or not.
