The powers that be have decided that increasing positive case counts, and especially positive rates, will prevent us from moving to less restrictive phases.
And before anyone blame that chode JBE, those guidelines are coming from the feds.
We won't see phase III until the case counts get back to where they were before this spike, or until the politicians change the rules.

Pretty sure you haven't been paying attention if that's what you think. Originally, we were trying to "flatten the curve". The idea behind that was to not overwhelm medical capabilities. Now, state and municipal leaders are freaking out over increased cases. These increased cases are not currently overwhelming medical capabilities. Deaths are down per capita. So, there are different bench marks. If you can point to what specifically they are using, I'd love to know.

White House Phased Reopening Guidelines
eta: It's a 14 day downward trajectory of cases. That's the official benchmark they've used all along.

They just shut everything down again for 6 weeks with 191 daily cases.
The entire country of AU has had less than 9000 total cases. Compare that to the state of FL, yesterday.

Not in Lousiana (yet) but its happened in Texas and our hospitalizations are now where they were in May.
