My last black reeked of weed.
My last English as a second language ratted me for my mask being under my nose.

Uber is the poster boy for immigration reform.

TBH here in Atlanta I can't recall ever having a Mexican or Indian driver. I'd put it

Black (American)
White
Black (African or Haitian)
Other (Syria, Turkey, occasional Eastern European or South American).

I’ve had a couple white hipster ladies when traveling out west.

Most I’ve had are black males

Only really use it some from airport but have never had a bad experience.

Seems like every time I get in one all I can smell is lingering weed that the driver was smoking

Is this a problem?

BTW, has anyone ever asked them what they make to do that? Lyft or Uber (or both) take such a large percentage of the fair, and some of them have to drive so much to come close to making money that they wear their cars out, and then are forced to get a rental they have to pay for.

I don't know why anyone would do it. That plus some of the horror story passengers they've had, you have to be beyond desperate for a job

I had one white woman and one white guy drive me in Omaha. Then one black and three Hispanics.

I had a Hispanic guy pick me up in Atlanta, he had a sermon playing really loudly over the speakers, turned it off, and by the time we got to my hotel, he was telling me about getting into shrooms for the religious experience.

I'm glad when they don't want to talk. But I've had a few nice conversations with some really kind people.

Yeah, a conversation about religious experiences while on psychedelics wouldn't fall into what I consider "small talk".

I'm just talking about when it's the ridiculous "What are you in town for?...Oh, the machine tool conference? My uncle used to run a CNC lathe back in the early 2000s..."

Stupid stuff like that. I would tell the Mexican telling me about tripping on shrooms to keep driving for a while until he finished describing his transformation to me.

Ironically I was in New Orleans last week and I had a white guy from Pearl River, MS as my lyft driver.

He was telling me he hates this time of year because half the teachers in the U.S. become uber/lyft drivers for the summer. So of course more competition for rides and the price plummets.

I can't complain since my ride from the French Quarter to the airport was only $26, but I could see where that would be an issue.

I live in Orlando. About a year ago I got an old lady doing uber/lyft. She said she lived in Leesburg. Needless to say that was an interesting experience. Felt sorry for her and man was her driving terrible.
