My seemingly normal 17 year old nephew stays with my parents sometimes, and every time I see him he's either playing to watching other people play a dungeons and dragons style game. Like hours upon hours a day.

Great game. Simcity 2000 got released for free on some program online a year or two ago. I downloaded and played it for a little while

No, I'm telling you it's pathetic for 14 yr old girls to invite others over to watch YouTube video game replays.
I have an 8 yr old that watches YouTube videos of mine craft, of all things. It's not even competitive. He makes good grades, and is as active as an 8 yr old can be, but I still shut that crap down when I catch him. I would make him come outside and hit baseballs. Monday they won the championship. Weird huh?
Again, he's eight, not 14.
And to the other point about football, that is reality, not a non reality video game.
