Only time I go on twitch is if there's a game in interested in buying. I'll hop into an unpopular stream and watch. That way I can ask questions.. And the top streamers always have too much going on. If that's your thing, cool... But I don't understand how some of these people donate thousands and thousands of dollars to these people just streaming video games. I envy the gamers. I'd love to have people watch me play Xbox and throw me money for doing so. I'd probably quit my job or grab an easy part time job
Some of these people make bank from this shite. Especially if you're a girl with tits. You get money thrown at you constantly. It's probably 80% teenage/prepubescent boys with their moms card. They'll throw $100 of their moms money at some girl hoping to see some titties.

I did almost puke in my mouth when I heard a radio show dedicated to "e-sports" and realized that means people watching video games. But, I work with middle aged guys who go to comic cons -- video games aren't any worse than that.

First person shooters would be terribly unfair.
Those dudes would kill you before you even saw them in a game like CS
I don't understand how you can be THAT much better in FPS.
I mean I understand I'm nothing more than average, but to be that insanely good at a computer game is crazy.

Congratulations, you are now officially "too old" and "out of touch".
I am 24
Hey to each their own. I would just rather waste my own time with games instead of letting someone else waste it for me

This is not common at all compared to the regular viewers.

Some are. Well actually very few. Not anyone can just go on there, start a stream, and make any decent amount of money so where they don't need a job.

oh i only think i'm possibly quality (on my best day) in FIFA
i just play gungames and mindless levels in CS. just running around and shooting shite for 10-20 minutes then i turn it off
good CS players are ridiculous

He probably isn't a user on the account and it will get charged back as fraud anyway through the credit card. Paypal will be the one to eat this money if they don't go ahead and charge back themselves.

My stepdaughter will be 14 and when she has friends over, they get on the couch, turn on the tv, and watch YouTube videos of people playing video games.
That's as pathetic as I've heard. You think it's funny?
God, kids need parents and deserve better

no different than you sitting on the couch every sunday to watch a bunch of grown men play a game.

That's as pathetic as I've heard.
Piss off.

What's wrong with it? She makes stellar grades in a private school, she volunteers, and she is in school clubs. You want me to tell her how to spend her free time?
It is time to get realistic.

equipment, strategy, and knowing the maps is the biggest difference
huge (but not too huge) monitors + gaming equipment make a very major difference
when i put on the headphones and participate in real levels on CS, i'll say i'm on a 14" laptop monitor and without any hesitancy, i can tell you 2-3 people on that map will lose their shite b/c they couldn't imagine that (and they're garbage like me)

The Asians and video games are like white on rice.
Seriously though, it's time and dedication imo. And we'll you have to be good at video games.
I had a friend, kinda lost touch with, who was a pro gamer. Didn't make a ton of money doing it but he was a pro right as it was starting to gain traction. He was one of the first world of war craft world champions at blizzcon. Got paid to play video games. I think they won 50k at their first event.
Seems cool but I just can't wrap my head around playing video games that much.

Odds that he grew up with parents unwilling to yank a knot in his arse? I'm going to say somewhere around 100%.
